Powerlessness: A Conversation

Over the past year, I've found myself in situations where everything I thought I knew about leadership and influence suddenly felt... useless.

Moments in my marriage where being "right" only made things worse. Situations with clients where my expertise couldn't touch what was really needed. Times with my kids where all my parenting strategies fell flat.

In these moments, I've been forced to confront something most of us spend our careers avoiding: What happens when we are powerless, but we still need to show up and lead?

I've built my life around being competent, reliable, the guy who figures things out. But lately, I'm discovering there's something beyond competence—a different way of showing up that actually creates more connection, more influence, more real change than anything I’ve learned.

I want to explore this with you.

I'm gathering a small group of men—business owners, leaders, fathers who are doing important work in the world—for a conversation I've never had before. Not about strategies or tactics, but about the places where our usual approaches stop working. About what it means to lead from groundlessness instead of certainty.

You're receiving this invitation because you're someone who doesn't shy away from depth. Someone who's built something meaningful and isn't afraid to question what you think you know about power and influence.

This isn't coaching or teaching—it's exploration. A chance to sit with other men who understand that our most important growth happens in the uncomfortable spaces we usually avoid.

The question I'm sitting with: How do we lead and love authentically when we can't control what happens next?

I have a feeling you might be sitting with something similar.
